Sebanyak 86 peserta mengikuti Workshop Validasi Perhitungan karbon proyek ICCTF di Hotel Grand Global Palangkaraya (4-5\/04\/2018). Kegiatan ini merupakan kerjasama antara ICCTF dengan P2KLH Universitas Palangkaraya yang diikuti oleh 9 mitra\/proponen ICCTF yang bekerja pada lahan gambut dengan pendanaan didukung dari USAID dan UKCCU. Kegiatan ini memiliki tujuan\u00a0 meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai pentingnya pelaporan penghitungan penurunan emisi GRK, meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap metodologi penghitungan stok karbon dan emisi GRK dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peserta dalam validasi penghitungan stok karbon di lokasi masing-masing kegiatan.<\/div>\n

Dalam kegiatan dengan narasumber Dr. Nisa Novita ini, peserta mendapatkan materi mengenai pengantar mengenai gambut, konsep dasar karbon hutan, prosedur pengukuran karbon dan perhitungan faktor emisi pada hari pertama. Pada hari kedua, kegiatan ini\u00a0 dilanjutkan praktek lapangan di Desa Tanjung Taruna, Kab. Pulang Pisau dengan praktek membuat plot untuk pengukuran cadangan karbon pada lahan gambut. Pada praktek ini, peserta menghitung anakan, pohon, seresah, nekromassa dan kedalaman gambut.<\/div>\n

Kegiatan yang berlangsung dua hari ini diikuti peserta dengan antusias. Peserta merasa membutuhkan pengetahuan untuk menghitung cadangan gambut dan pelatihan perhitungan cadangan gambut dan perhitungan emisi CO2 ini merupakan hal baru.
